Auterra


Auterra is a rebrand and rename of Southern Californian’s Mammoth. As current climate models indicate a 60% decrease in Sierra snowpack by 2050, it’s critical for the resort to pivot its focus to year round activities instead of relying heavily on the ski season.

Brand Identity

Derived from the historical significance of the area, as a place where settlers thought they would find an abundance of gold, Auterra translates to golden earth.

 

For the logomark I wanted to represent the uniqueness of the area; a place where there’s 300 days of sun but also nearly 10 months of snow.

 

Designed with versatility in mind, the logo changes with the seasons.
